For the Beauty of the Earth

“To truly reverence the Creator, we must appreciate his creations. We
need to plan to take time to observe the marvels of nature. . . . Take
time to sit
on a hillside and feel the tranquillity of the evening when the sun
casts its last golden glow over the horizon. Take time to smell the
roses.”
Elder M. Russell Ballard of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, “God’s
Love for His Children,” Ensign, May 1988, 59.

Praise the Man

"One spring morning in a grove
one boy seeking truth foretold
the heavens opened he was heard
one prayer answered changed the world."

I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God, called to restore the gospel of Jesus Christ back to the Earth. I know that the book of Mormon is true. And with the Bible and the Book of Mormon we have the fulness of the gospel. And that through sincere prayer the Holy Ghost will testify of these truths, as  he testifies of the truth of ALL things. I know the church is true and I am so proud to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints!:)

Our True Identity

My favorite mormon message:) It satisfies human curiosity and answers the age old questions of who we are, why we are here, and where we are going. Please watch if you have ever wondered about your true identity.

Return Safely Home

I was just thinking today about our Heavenly Father's love for us. I was thinking about how he knows us and loves us MORE THAN WE CAN POSSIBLY IMAGINE!!! He is our father and because of this, when we make a mistake, when we err along the path, he is not ashamed of us. He does not disown us. Instead he LOVES us and tries to gently direct us back on the path that leads to him. Because he desperately wants us to return home. That's why he sent the savior. So that there could be a way back. When I think about it, it's pretty amazing how much he loves us, how much he was willing to do to help us return safely home:)

Worth Waiting For

Probably one of the cutest videos I've ever seen.

I Stand All Amazed

I stand all amazed at the love Jesus offers me
Confused at the grace that so fully he proffers me
I tremble to know that for me he was crucified
That for me, a sinner, he suffered, he bled and died

Chorus:
Oh, it is wonderful that he should care for me enough to die for me
Oh, it is wonderful
Wonderful to me

I marvel that he would descend from his throne divine
To rescue a soul so rebellious and proud as mine
That he should extend his great love unto such as I
Sufficient to own, to redeem and to justify

(Repeat chorus)

I think of his hands, pierced and bleeding to pay my debt
Such mercy, such love and devotion can I forget?
No, no, I will praise and adore at the mercy seat
Until at the glorified throne I kneel at his feet

I stand all amazed at the love Jesus offers me
Secure in the promise of life in his victory
Thus ransomed from death I will live to my Savior's praise
And sing of his goodness and mercy through endless days

E-F-Y!!!

This past week I spent up in Provo, Utah at the BYU campus, for EFY (Especially for youth) which is a church camp that teaches about the gospel of Jesus Christ and how to share it with others. It was truly one of the most amazing experiences of my life! My testimony was strengthened in so many ways. One of our classes taught us about social media and how we can use it to share the gospel. That is what inspired me to start this blog. So my goal is to write one post a week sharing some little tidbits of things that I believe in. Please follow!:)
